There is a nasty rumor going around my town this week.
One that has Riley panicked and me playing the wicked witches scary song over and over again.
Over Memorial Day weekend we had a thunder/hail/rain storm unlike I have ever seen in my life. The hail was half dollar size and the wind was unbelievable. We actually lost all the windows on our back porch and my poor poor jeep now looks like some one played ping pong all over it. My insurance adjuster just laughed at me and shook his head when I asked him if we would meet the deductible, ($300.00) I know now, why he was laughing, the damage to "Libby" is over $3000.00,, thank God for comprehensive insurance.. but now on to the wierd part.. appaarently, according to the older townies , a good reliable source for any town knowledge (or really who is doing what and why and just why didn't so and so come home last night?? ) we had a TORNADO, here, on my street,, in my town,,, I can neither confirm nor deny the fact, I just know that one minute we were all sitting out enjoying the lake, it started to thunder,,we packed up to head home and whammo, right in the middle of the drive, I was blinded my the wind and the rain. It really is amazing how we managed to make it home safely..although,,, I think some small part of me,,was kind of hoping..just for a second,...that if it in fact was a tornado..I wish we had landed in Oz.....
