...Here Comes the Bride.........

Ok, In honor of Wendy, I am typing in Purple today...One day only will I defer to the color that she thinks is better than PINK. As you all probably know this weekend was Wendy and Jeff's wedding. I would love to say I have hundreds and hundreds of pictures to share with all of you and maybe later on this week I will, but alas my poor digital camera has taken the almighty dirt nap, I did manage to get a few pictures before the sudden demise of my camera, so for now I only have a couple and this is probably the best picture of all of them.. I don't even have a decent picture of Jeff..LOL nice huh ?? A few things I learned over the weekend... 1. Fenway Park is an AWESOME place to have a wedding.. OMG... I can not remember a time when I had so much fun.... 2. I always knew that Jeff and Wendy were made for each other, but I never realized how much they complement each other,, and how perfect they are together. There are things in life that you know should always be together, Snow and Hot Chocolate, A good book on a rainy day, Joy Asia and Bad Karaoke and Wendy and Jeff. I love watching them together, the way Wendy's face lit up as she walked down the aisle, Jeff looking like he wanted to rush down the aisle and grab her.. the way she held his hand and he stroked her thumb while they were saying their vows....and that moment, when the priest announced them as Mr & Mrs..... well like I said, perfect together....for today and always... just perfect...

...How Funny is this,, I have been Simpsonized....

Its official,, I have way too much time on my hands.. I have made myself a Simpson. I was watching Rachel Ray the other day and they were talking about this website Simpsonize Me so of course, I jumped on the computer (and yes sometimes I am away from the computer) and animated myself. I must say, I really like the hair, and I am sure this version of me would have no trouble at all finding something to wear to a wedding that is fast approaching, but me on the other hand is thinking that my Red Sox apparel is just not going to cut it , even if Wendy is having her reception at Fenway Park......

...Look Mommy, No Wheels......

So I am sitting inside today, minding my own business (actually I am pretty sure I was watching Oprah) and Riley's friend Nathan comes tearing through the door, yelling his little head off, telling me I have to get outside RIGHT NOW because Riley is riding her bike without the training wheels..Um WHAT?? So of course I fly out the door (only stopping to grab the camera) and there she is , in all her 7 year old glory. Riding up and down the lawn without training wheels. Yelling her head off "Look Mommy, I am riding with no wheels!"

Although she has ,according to her mastered riding without the training wheels, she still has to work on the stopping, in the last picture above, she actually used the tree to stop, not the brightest of ideas, but then again, she has me for a mother, so that is definitely an improvement over my idea of using the fence to stop, after a bike trick gone disastrously wrong (thanks Jessica!!),which resulted in a broken collar bone, I don't think that I have ridden a bike since. So while I keep my feet firmly planted on the ground, Riley shows no fear, getting up over and over again and pedaling her little heart out......

..Something Scary This Way Comes...

So now that it is September, I can offically begin all my Halloween stuff...by stuff I mean decorating the house, making Halloween cards and shopping for the ultimate Halloween costume for Riley. I made this card for a swap I am in and I am not sure if it is enough. You know when you make a card, you think, I will just add a couple more eyelets, or some more ribbon, perhaps some glitter. When is enough, enough ? LOL , by the time I am done with some cards, I have to have the post office weigh the card and tell me just how much more postage I need to mail it. I can never get away with just one stamp ever. So what do you think? Is this enough, I still can't help but feel that it is missing something. Suggestions greatly appreciated.....

...The Tooth is Gone....FINALLY

Ok, so for 3 weeks I have seen the wiggly tooth, I have had to feel it wiggle, watch it wiggle, and jiggle and almost fall out many many times. Well last night, Hallelujah it fell out. Now mind you, I am all for the excitement of losing a tooth, the anticipation of the tooth fairy, the plans for the money that gets left behind, but after a certain amount of crying, pleading and not eating anything but soft foods for weeks now, I am glad that it is gone. Although I am not sure what we are going to do for entertainment now that it is. What can we do to replace all the midnight conversations about the tooth, and yes there were times, in the middle of the night that Riley would come into the bedroom to tell me that the tooth was about to fall out, this followed by a trip to the bathroom to examine and recheck the tooth, and after much convincing, getting Riley back into bed for the night, reminding her, that no, she would not loose the tooth in her sleep, it would not fall out and get lost, and most importantly, no she would not swallow it...I have never known any child to choke on a tooth while sleeping, and I am absolutely positive that even if by some weird coincidence that she did swallow her tooth, the Tooth Fairy would still come and leave her something...speaking of which, did you know that the going rate for a tooth these days is $5.00, yup you read right, $5.00 ,, let me ask you this,, how much did you get for a tooth ? Me I can remember getting a half dollar, I think the last few teeth, I got bumped up to a dollar...I can only imagine what I would have done had I reached under the pillow and found good Old Honest Abe starting back at me.......probably gone and got the plyers and pulled out more teeth!!
