I actually have dried up the tears (now that didn't take long did it ??) and went made some cards. Can you believe it ?? LOL I made this for a friend of mine who is having surgery this week.. I could tell you her name, you all probably already know who it is , but if I blurt it out, then she would know, but she reads this , so she already knows ,, so now its not really a surprise now is it ?? So Jennifer, when you get this,, you have to act all surprised and in awe of my talent. I wish I could take credit for the whole dang thing, but the polymer flower is something that I did not make, I wish I could because how cool is that ?? Although I can take credit for the color combo,(like that is a HUGE DEAL right ?? )  I am really starting to love red, orange and yellow together, at first I kind thought it looked like the beginning of rainbow throw up, but the more I look at it , the more I like it. So when you look at this, think good thoughts for Jennifer, b/c at 12 colorado time she is having her surgery.. Lets all wish her a speedy recovery,, although I hear her husband is a pretty good nurse when she is sick, so maybe we can wish a speedy recovery, and a weekend full of being waited on hand and foot.. ......

That is what Riley informed me as we were waiting for the bus on the First Day of School.  Not that she is counting or anything!! LOL  As usual I was the weepy one, bravely trying to hide the tears, while she was hopping from foot to foot waiting on the bus. She has always been the brave one when starting anything new, In pre-school, she flew across the street to get into the building and never even looked back at me. In first grade, she told me not to cry that she would be home after 3..and now today again she justs blasts outside, 25 minutes early for the bus because she told me that waiting for the bus is the best part..and I am reminded of just this past May when she refused to ride the bus and the bus was stupid and for babies! My how things change....so now I am sitting here, can't help but wonder as I look at the clock what she is doing now .. I know not healthy,lol, and if you ask me in a week how I feel I will probably be the one out at the bus stop at the crack of dawn, but for today I am feeling mushy and nostalgic, I think that I will pull out the pictures and do a little scrapbooking of all the "first days" that is if I can see through the tears.....

Oh and wish me luck tomorrow when I tell Riley that she has to wear something other than the orange shirt...which she has worn almost daily since I bought it for her..that is a conversation I am dreading...........

..Girl Gone Wild.......

So the long awaited Bachlorette party was this weekend, and I actually learned quite a few things... Number 1: Wendy can Karaoke with the best of them,, Number 2: When a call goes out for back up dancers for La Bamba, it is her duty and honor to go and perform with the creepy business suit guy and we all know only she can pull off a straw hat!!

Number 3: Never dare Wendy to do anything, I mean anything..she will do it, no matter what, even when we sent across the bar to card a boy who looked like he was only 17...

and finally Number 4: One can never have enough Malibu and Pineapple

So here's to Wendy our lovely Bride who has now proven that she can Party Like a Rock Star, We all had so much fun, I wonder if it is possible to have more than one bachlorette is that legal ???

......Do Me a Favor......

So I can now post the favors (45 actually) that I made for Wendy's bridal shower. I actually wish I could say that I was the type of Crafty person that made the boxes, but alas, I am not that crafty (although I could be, I know I could!! ) But I can take credit for the rest of it! Let me tell you it was a lot of work,,lol, once again we have an appearance from the Circle Scallop Punches! I had just gotten over my averision to them and was slowly working them back into the card rotation,, and now WHAMMO,, sick again! Must make a note to finally return them to Wendy, I just don't think I need them in my life anymore, I am ready to take that first step and admit that I have a problem that is larger than myself. As for the rest of the details, you can probably figure it all out on your own, I printed on some white glossy card stock, punched it out, and used the February Violet Primas and attached them all to the box with purple and white brads. I filled them with dark chocolate and milk chocolate Hershey Kisses (of course it had to be dark chocolate because they are the only kisses wrapped in purple) It was super quick and easy to put them all together and I think that they turned out pretty purple-icious!!

Can you handle one more post from me today??? If not tough!! LOL, I wanted to post this before I left, but I ran out of time and I had a 7 year old pulling on my leg to get me out the door....

So most of you know our Jennifer (jkincolorado) on SCS , but for those of you who don't, she is one of the most thoughtful people. She sent this card to Riley for her birthday, along with some fantastic Disney stickers (that Riley already said to me Don't touch Mommy these are mine)  Seriously how cute is this card?? I love the pig, it is so adorable!! The picture is a little blurry, sorry about that, but I just wanted to share this card with all of you. Riley has not stopped talking about it since she received it, and it has traveled with us all the way up to Maine in her bag and she has shown any one that would look her way her special card from "her friend Jennifer in Colorado"  So thank you Jennifer, for making Riley feel a little extra special.........

...Home Sweet Home....

Ok, so what is the worst part of a vacation ??? Coming home, LOL , it was way too short, Aren't they always? We did have a blast, There is a photo album to the left of all the cool places we went to visit. I would have updated with a few more interesting pictures while we were away, but someone didn't bring the USB cord and had no way to get all the pictures off of her camera,, I am not naming any names, but it starts with a K and ends with a STUPID!!! We had such a good time, although I realize that I am hardly in any pictures, lol, I will have to wait for Jessica to send me the ones she took and then I can prove that I was actually there!! It seemed that we went everywhere, Portland, Boothbay Harbor, up and down Route 1 so many times, I think people thought that we were an attraction!! I have to say my favorite place that we visited was the Portland Head Lighthouse... there was a man there selling photographs and I mentioned that I might buy one ( I didn't know how to get rid of him!! LOL ) and then I swear he was stalking me around the lighthouse, watching to see if I did infact buy a picture....My sisters say I was paranoid, but I know the truth and I know he is still out there waiting for me to come back with the picture so that he can autograph it....It's funny when you don't live there, you love it so much, but then you think about those damn Maine winters and I remember why we moved......So its good to be home, but I can't help but start thinking about the next Girls only Road Trip.........
